Bringing community-driven transformations to life, the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) is a hub for visionary programs. To successfully build global strategies for sustainability through local and community engagement, ILFI needed a platform for engagement for each of its three programs with their own distinct branding.

Critical features of the site include:

• Responsive design for mobile users
• Unique branding and customization for each program area
• Flexible tool kit for site administrators for updating and managing content layout

To achieve ILFI's branding goals, we were able to create a responsive platform that allowed us to swap sub-themes on the fly for a custom user experience, including unique menus and taxonomy between sections of the site.

Each of ILFI's programs had different content requirements, so the staff needed a solution that allowed them to tailor presentation to their audience. By creating a number of custom Bean types and View modes, we gave the team at ILFI a flexible tool kit for managing callouts, slideshows and sidebar content.

Building for the future, we laid the groundwork for launching a highly-robust green-building certification web application in fall of 2012. Additionally, this Drupal 7 site is hosted on Pantheon.
