The Intertwine Alliance is a collaborative partnership bringing together local agencies and groups to increase investment in The Intertwine, which encompasses the Portland-Vancouver metro area and surrounding rural lands. In their words,

The Intertwine Alliance is working to raise awareness of the need to preserve the land, water and habitat in the Portland/Vancouver Metropolitan Region. The more we find ourselves on The Intertwine, the deeper our connection to the nature around us.

In order to increase that connection, the alliance needed a website where visitors could discover parks and trails, plan adventures, and learn more about the region. ThinkShout joined OpenPlans (project lead and GIS planning / development), and Substance (design and user experience), in developing and launching TheIntertwine.org. The site features:

• A gorgeous responsive theme designed by Substance.
• An interactive map to explore the Intertwine. The map is built with the cutting edge Leaflet JavaScript library for interactive maps, for which ThinkShout released a Drupal module and features custom map tiles designed by OpenPlans using Development Seed's TileMill and served up using their MapBox hosting service.
• Complete adventures which are collections of parks and trails curated by the alliance.
• Beautiful responsive image galleries.

To top if off, the site is hosted on Pantheon to ensure reliable and speedy delivery of all that great content.
