We love this website and we love Mobile Baykeeper (MBK). Sure, it's a really simple site. We put it together on a tight budget - with an incredible level of focus on the organization's core online communication needs. And as a result, it just "works" - and it's made the hectic lives of the watershed advocates at MBK much easier.

Mobile Baykeeper, Casi Callaway, and I have been friends and colleagues through Waterkeeper Alliance since 2002. Back when we first met, Casi really showed me the ropes when it came to understanding the needs of local watershed advocacy organizations in the Southeast, United States. Combining her understanding of these organizations' needs and ThinkShout's understanding of social media mash-ups and open source technologies, we are currently in the process of putting together a "River Conservationist" release of Drupal - with the goal of reducing the cost and increasing the features of powerful websites for grassroots activists.
